WTH is Floor Living?


Ever feel like you sit too much? But aren't really sure what the other options are?

In this open workshop we'll show you some different ways to spend more time (comfortably) on the floor. For those who feel like it, we can also play around with rolling, crawling, and how to get up off the floor (not so easy when you are used to sitting in chairs!).

Feel free to wander in and out as you like, there's no set time that you need to stay. We welcome everyone. This is a safe place to start to explore movement. Introverts welcome!

For those that like beer, this location is right next to Red Door Brewing so feel free to make that part of your evening as well!

Falling apart and don't know where to start?

Start at the beginning!  Using developmental patterns we will learn how to Breathe - Stabilize - Move

  • Have you ever started an exercise program, only to keep injuring yourself?
  • Do you workout, but feel like your core just isn't engaging like it should be?
  • Do you have constant neck and back tension?
  • Are your hamstrings and calves always tight?
  • Do you feel uncoordinated or disconnected from your body?

As babies we are all born with the same developmental patterns.  First we learn to breathe and stabilize our core. Then we learn to roll to our side, brace on our elbows, crawl, stand and walk.

Starting from a safe position on the ground, we will work our way through the developmental patterns until we have earned the right to stand, and walk, (and workout)!


This is a four week workshop, with each class building on the last.  Although there will be a brief review at the beginning of each class, best results will be achieved if you can attend all four classes.

These movements are generally appropriate for all fitness levels.  If you can lie on the ground you can get through the first class.  The idea is to build you up from there.

Class atmosphere is fun and casual, a chance to explore movement in a non-competitive environment.

A strong back is a healthy back. Foundation Training uses a combination of powerful movements, intentional poses, and conscious breath work to activate the muscles in your posterior chain. When practiced regularly, your pain diminishes, your resistance to injury increases, and your body comes to life.

A cleanse isn’t particularly difficult, but proper preparation is required for success.

In this class you will learn:

  • Why the body stores fat
  • How to set new habits (hint: it has nothing to do with willpower)
  • How to make smarter choices in the grocery store (how food companies trick you into buying nutritionally deficient foods)

Hands-on activities include:

  • Modifying meal plans to match your taste preferences
  • Finding substitutes for your trigger foods
  • Strategies for mishaps

When you leave this class you will :

  • Understand the science of fat storage
  • Know how to make smart food choices
  • Have a backup plan for stressful days
  • Connect with your personal reasons for changing the way you eat


Class includes entry into a closed facebook group for support and ideas throughout the 30 day program.

Topic: Simple exercises that can improve posture and energy levels, while reducing muscle fatigue and pain.  Areas addressed are neck and shoulder tension, as well as low back pain.
